Sing a song of Spring

This year, April in our part of France burst forth in a rush of color, vibrant and glistening in bright sunshine. The hills surrounding us resounded with the cries of newborn lambs and the bellowing of their mothers. Unlike last year, warmth descended upon the earth softly and the brutal storms stayed far away. After the vague sense of depression created by the incessant grey days of winter, my creative energy returned. I stopped my spring cleaning, grabbed a small stool and spent some precious time in the midst of the flock.
